Psychological Therapy

Looking for one on one psychological counselling?  Jemma offers CBT based therapy under Medicare and SIRA and is available on Mondays and Thursdays at Performance in Health in Stanmore.

Jemma treats a variety of presentations including depression, anxiety, OCD, emetophobia, social anxiety, specific phobias, PTSD, workplace stress and grief.  Jemma uses a combination of EMDR, CBT, and DBT based modalities.  Jemma has completed EMDR basic training and DBT Foundational Training.

Performance in Health 

Fees:

Initial Psychology Session (90 minutes):  $260

Ongoing Psychology Sessions (50 minutes):  $230

After 5pm sessions incur an additional $10 fee

A rebate of $141.85 is available through Medicare for eligible clients.

 

ADHD Assessment

$1650 + GST

Fees include a two hour clinical interview, administration of self-report and information questionnaires, a two hour cognitive assessment, review of collateral information, a detailed report and a feedback session.

Coaching psychology

We offer one on one coaching sessions, using evidence based cognitive-behavioural, solution focused coaching.  We offer developmental coaching to help you to achieve your goals, to better understand your strengths and to enhance your capability.  Interested in finding out more about coaching?  Watch this video, or read our FAQs for more information.

Fees

Training, Presenting and Facilitating

We can provide customised presentations for your workplace, tailored to your needs.  Jemma is experienced in providing training based on current evidence and trends in psychology.  Current available workshops include:

  • Boost your Resilience – a one hour presentation to help participants understand stress and their personal triggers for stress, and to understand the concept of resilience and implement several strategies to increase their resilience and manage stress.
  • Boost your Focus – In today’s world of multi-taking, notifications and content overload, many of us report difficulties staying focused.  This presentation will discuss some of the key reasons why we may struggle to concentrate, and will provide some simple tips based on research, that can help to boost your focus.
  • Mindset for Health – a one hour presentation around changing our mindset to enable healthy habits such as exercise and healthy eating with practical techniques to help set and achieve health goals.
  • Dealing with Difficult Clients – a two hour practical workshop designed for allied health practitioners or case managers – includes strategies for dealing with aggressive clients, unmotivated clients and suicidal or self harming clients.  Practical techniques around counselling microskills are included.
  • Fundamental Coaching Skills – a two hour practical workshop for leaders and coaches to develop their skills in solution focused coaching.
